Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026

HomeLab Backup is a private utility operated for the sole use of its owner. It connects to the owner's Google Drive account to copy, verify, organize, and retain HomeLab backup files.

Google user data accessed

The application may access Google Drive files and folders authorized by the owner, including file names, metadata, contents, and storage usage, as needed to perform and verify backups.

How data is used

Google user data is used only to create, synchronize, verify, retain, and restore the owner's HomeLab backups. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or training machine-learning models.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are stored in systems controlled by the owner and are not embedded in this public website. Backup data remains in the owner's Google Drive account. This website does not receive or store Google Drive data.

Sharing

Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, except when required by law or when necessary for Google Drive and the owner's infrastructure to perform the requested backup operations.

Retention and deletion

Backup files are retained according to the owner's configured backup policy and may be deleted by the owner at any time in Google Drive. OAuth access can be revoked through the Google Account permissions page.
